A ROAD was closed this morning due to a vehicle being on fire.
A vehicle was in flames on Bolton Road, Atherton this morning, Friday, June 9.
The road was closed both ways around the area of the junction with Old Bolton Road.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "Just before 7.30am this morning, one fire engine from Hindley fire station was called to reports of a vehicle fire on Bolton Road in Atherton.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were in attendance for around 30 minutes."
