Leigh Centurions are pleased to confirm that their second and final warm up game ahead of the 2017 Betfred Super League campaign will be against Dewsbury Rams at LSV on Sunday 29 January 2017, with a 3pm kick-off.
Tickets are priced as follows and go on sale from LSV Ticket Office from Monday: £15 adult; £10 concession (18 to 21 and 65+); £5 for U18s; free for U5s. Seat Season ticket holders have until 23 December to reserve their seat for the game.
Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont revealed that Dewsbury Rams were selected after discussions with Head Coach Neil Jukes. Mr Beaumont said: "This season we only had the opportunity for two warm up matches as we want to ensure we prepare meticulously, so it was important that we got the right fixtures.
"It is no secret that I am good friends with Mark Sawyer from Dewsbury although that is the case with many Championship chairmen. I have always said neither I nor the club will forget where we come from.
"To that end I wanted to ensure we played a Championship team but at the same time a team that will give us a good hit-out and Neil was confident that Dewsbury would provide that.
"Glenn Morrison is a good coach and Dewsbury are a progressive club who, with a bit of wind behind their sails in a season, could just crack that top four.
"They always compete very well and are hard to break down so it will be a good test after the Wigan game before having a week off to prepare for the start of Super League.
"I look forward to welcoming Dewsbury and hope our fans come out and show their support for them."
