BRIERLEY, Winifred Peacefully on 24th October 2021, aged 96 years, with her loving family by her side. Devoted daughter of the late Mr & Mrs O`Brien, beloved wife of the late JOE, much loved sister to Pat and the late JIM. A dearly loved auntie to Terry, David, Julie, Daniel and David and a devoted great auntie to Megan. Known fondly as Winnie during her 27 year tenure at the former Leigh Casino where, alongside husband Joe, she presided over dancing and live music, hosting the likes of up and coming stars such as the Beatles and Georgie Fame. Following Joe's death in 1973 she continued for a further nine years until her retirement in 1982. Win will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. The funeral will take place on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at Newchurch Parish Church, Culcheth at 10.45am prior to interment at Leigh Cemetery.
