CARUS James (JIM) James (Jim) aged 96, passed away Peacefully at St Ronan's Care Home, Dundee, on 18th September 2022. Devoted and beloved husband of the late Peggy and much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He taught many children when he was headmaster at St Lewis Primary School, Croft, Warrington. Family and friends are warmly invited to the Reception of Remains on Sunday October 2nd at 4pm followed by Requiem Mass that will be held at 11.30 on Monday 3rd October in St Bride's RC Church, Brook Street, Monifieth and to the committal in Shanwell Cemetery, Carnoustie. Family flowers only please but donations may be made in his memory at the church, or directly, to The Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa nuns).

Great to see Mr Carus lived to a very good age. He was my headmaster at St Lewis' from around 1979 to 1984 I think, I'm assuming he retired as we had another Headmaster named Mr Caine after that. Always had fond memories of my time at this school, great to see the article Mr Carus wrote on the history of St Lewis', great also to see a picture of him and all of the teachers of the time.
