GORSE Catherine Peacefully on the 5th February 2024, in Wigan & Leigh Hospice, Cathy aged 48 years. Devoted and loving mum to Riley, adored step-mum to Reece. Much loved daughter of Eric and Barbara, cherished sister to Joanne and Lisa, treasured sister-in-law to Ged and Mark. A very special auntie to Amy, Maisie, Oliver, Ophelia and Leo. A wonderful niece and cousin. Valued friend and colleague. Cathy will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The funeral will take place on Wednesday 6th March 2024, at St Joseph's R.C, Mather Lane, Leigh where a Requiem Mass will begin at 12.30pm, this will be followed by the committal service at Howe Bridge Crematorium at 2.00pm. A private wake will then take place, which will be by invitation only. It was Cathy's wish, instead of flowers for donations to go to Alfie's Fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy UK, donations can be passed to the immediate family or made via the Just Giving page https://justgiving.com/page/kieron-sales-mduk.
