FREE business advice has been on offer to anyone looking to become their own boss.
The Start Smart Roadshow came to the borough in November and saw dozens of people engaging with advisors to find out more about all aspects of setting up their own business.
The roadshow, run by the Business Growth Hub and NatWest, covered matters from accessing finance and writing a business plan to advise on where to find further help on specific topics, workshops and master classes.
Growth Start Up manager Janine Smith said: “We were delighted that there are so many people who are interested in setting up their own business.
“So many visitors to the bus have told us how they’ve dreamt of setting up their own business for years but just assumed that there would be too many barriers in their way or didn’t know where to go for the advice and support to help them achieve it.”
The roadshow also marks the launch of the Hub’s Growth Start Up Support Programme which is an intensive programme of support to take start ups from an initial concept or idea to a successful business.
The team works with entrepreneurs to develop the business, provide feedback on business plans and introduce them to additional support, such as accessing finance or marketing expertise. Start-up workshops will run fortnightly across Greater Manchester.
