HIGH school pupils have been treated to a masterclass by an England netball star.
Loughborough Lightning centre Natalie Panagarry visited pupils at St Mary’s Catholic High School in Astley on Friday.
She put them through their paces with drills used in her England training programme and chatted to them about her journey in rising to play for the national side.
Natalie also presented the year 11 netball team with their Wigan and Leigh schools league winners’ medals and gave the school a signed England senior squad shirt.
Student leader Olivia Jennings said: “Not everybody gets to train with an England international.
"It will help me improve my overall game.”
Another pupil described the afternoon as 'the best training session we have had during our time at St Mary's'.
Key Stage Four students who help with coaching younger teams at the school had the chance to observe Natalie's coaching methods and ask questions in order to further improve their own teaching prowess.
