A FIRE which broke out inside the roof space of a row of terraced houses is being treated as arson.
Fire crews were sent to Wilkinson Street in Leigh at around 1.30am today, Tuesday, after a blaze had started on the first floor and roof space of one of the houses and spread to neighbouring properties.
Four fire engines and a hydraulic platform were sent to the scene to extinguish the flames.

Greater Manchester Police are treating the incident as arson and enquiries are ongoing.
A Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said six breathing apparatus, three hose reels, a covering jet and a thermal imaging camera were used to extinguish the fire.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
