THE former RBS bank in Leigh has been put up for auction with a guide price of £90,000.
The Market Street building will feature among more than 100 lots for sale at Pugh Auction's next North West property auction, held at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester on Tuesday, December 3.
The 5,000 sq/ft, three-storey bank was closed in January this year along with RBS branches in nearby Atherton and Hindley, as part of a nationwide branch closure programme.

Managing director of auction house at Pugh, Paul Thompson, said: “With ample space and an excellent town-centre location, this former bank property has huge potential for redevelopment and change of use, subject to a buyer gaining the relevant planning consent.
“Plans to convert the former RBS branch in Hindley to a restaurant and bar were approved only last month, which demonstrates that, with an imaginative approach, there is enormous potential for disused bank buildings to once again become assets to their community – and an appetite from most councils to facilitate such schemes.”
