HUNDREDS turned out at Civic Square in Leigh this afternoon, Thursday, for the town's annual Christmas celebration event.
Residents braved the bitter cold weather to watch a host of entertainment on stage next to Leigh Town Hall.
Acts including Leigh singer Zoe Unsworth, The Voice Kids UK star Jake Mckechnie and the Westleigh Soul Band performed for the large audience.
Leigh Centurions head coach John Duffy and new signing, Scottish international Danny Addy, were interviewed as well, giving fans optimism for the 2020 season.

Zoe said: It was fantastic - it’s always great to see the people of Leigh come together for the Christmas show.
"Everyone was really getting into the spirit!"
Fairground rides provided plenty of fun for families too.
Fireworks were set off at 7pm to signal the end of the joyous occasion.
The Mayor of Wigan borough, Cllr Steve Dawber, who was on stage at the event, said: “The Christmas show in Leigh was once again a fantastic success with Civic Square packed to the rafters for hours.
“The night saw some amazing talent on stage and was rounded off with an eye-catching firework display.
“Thanks to everyone who attended and braved the cold to make it another year to remember, we hope to see you again next year."
