THE second annual Pennington Park Christmas Market will be held on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
The event at the park on St Helens Road in Leigh was cancelled on Sunday due to weather conditions but organisers are hoping residents will come out in force this weekend to see what festive gifts are on offer.
Traders will be set up at the park and Santa will be in his grotto to greet children for a cost of £5.
The park's Caffeina Cafe will be serving hot food and drinks.

Manager of the café and director of CommuniTea Spaces CIC Shelley Guest, who organised the event, said: “It was a really difficult decision to cancel last week's market but one that simply had to be made with all eyes on the safety of the public and the stall holders.
"This just leaves me all the more determined to make Saturday a success for all."
Shelley, who has praised Wigan Council for helping to organise the Christmas event, also has plans to mark the park's 100th birthday next year.
She said: "I am so proud of the park's events and how they draw the community together.
It's been another great year on the park and in Caffeina Café.
"We already have some exciting plans in place for next year, including the Park's incredible 100th birthday - the Centenary of George Shaw handing over the park to the public.
"For such a momentous occasion, I am so keen to involve the whole of the community that we will be hosting a launch meeting to ensure we put on the relevant and popular events.
"Just as importantly, I can draw from the community the right expertise, support and help to ensure that happens."
More details of the park's centenary celebrations will be announced in due course.
