A COMMUNITY group's short-term future has been secured after being given a funding boost of more than £9,000 from the National Lottery.
Happy Days Special Needs Community Group, who meet monthly at the All Saints Church hall on Kenwood Avenue in Leigh, will now be able to carry on holding events and buy equipment for its youngsters for the next year.
The funds will pay for outdoor games, electronic items, day trips, training courses and appearance from special guests.
Parents and careers will also be asked about how the money will be spent.
