PLANS have been approved to build 102 homes as part of a larger development.
An outline planning application to construct 271 homes north of Garrett Lane in Tyldesley was approved in December 2018.
A reserved matters application for the first phase of the development for 117 homes was subsequently given the green light last August.

And in October an application for the second phase was sent by Redrow Homes to Wigan Council, which would bring the total number of homes at the development to 219 homes - 52 less than the outline application’s allocation.
A total of 26 of the 102 homes in the new proposals will be available for affordable housing.
They will be situated to the east of the 17th century grade II listed building Garrett Hall Farmhouse, which was part of the history of the Tyldesley family.
No objections were made to the plans, which were approved by the council yesterday, Monday.
