A MAN and woman from Atherton has been charged in connection with thefts from motor vehicles in Wigan.
Police say a Skoda was taken from the Swinley area in the early hours of the Sunday, May 16.
Shortly afterwards, a theft from a motor vehicle took place on Walkden Avenue, police say.
It is believed bank cards were stolen and then used in multiple retail outlets across Wigan.
Officers say there were also a spree of thefts in the Hawkley Hall area.
Police detained suspects at the Premier Inn hotel in Marus Bridge, Wigan on Sunday evening.
Officers say they recovered almost 100 items of property, believed to have been stolen.
Kelly Brindle, 36, of Water Street, Atherton has been charged with four offences in connection with thefts from motor vehicles in Wigan.
Meanwhile, Peter McLean, 37, of Milton Close, Atherton has been charged with seven offences including attempted burglary of an address in Swinley, theft of a motor vehicle and five thefts from motor vehicles in Wigan.
Both pleaded not guilty to all charges at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
They were granted conditional bail and will return to court on June 3.
