CINEWORLD Leigh has decided to voluntarily keep its social distancing rules and other Covid procedures.
The announcement comes after many other cinema chains removed all coronavirus measures following ‘Freedom Day’ on July 19.
Other measures being kept at the Spinning Jenny Way cinema are hand sanitiser stations, deep cleaning, plastic till screens 'to focus on the safety of guests'.
Cineworld is also describing its cinemas as somewhere to 'cool down safely' during the heatwave thanks to its air conditioning.
The cinema reopened in May after the last lockdown after being closed from October 2020 due to the crisis.
