ASTLEY & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club's Frank White won the under 10s Little League Boys Individual Final in Southampton on Saturday.
Frank was the lone Astley & Tyldesley club entry and he raced to a 20 points maximum score, to add to the under 8s Little League title he won in 2019.
In doing so, Frank continued his amazing run of winning every race at under 8s level in 2019 and at under 10s level in 2021. No under 10s events were held in 2020.
The under 10s Boys and Girls raced together in one match, with the placings subsequently split for each competition.
There was a double success for the North West Region, with Bury's Bobby Dunphy racing unbeaten to win the under 18s title.
The Manchester League season wrapped up for another year with the Senior Individual Final staging, under the Goshen floodlights, at Bury, on Wednesday evening.
An excellent meeting took place, with 20 keenly fought races throughout.
The Astley & Tyldesley pair of Steve Harris and Reece Pollitt met in a crucial heat 5 race.
Pollitt gated over teammate Harris, but the wily veteran pulled off a superb inside cut back on the second lap to take the race win.
Bury's Kaysar Mohammadi moved onto 15 points going into his last race, while Harris had to work hard for a win from the back in heat 14, to also move onto 15 points.
The showdown came in heat 16, with Harris starting off gate 2 and Mohammadi off gate 4. Mohammadi made one of his trademark lightning fast starts, but Harris just held him off on the first bend and kept him at bay for the entire four laps, to take the race win and the overall win on the night.
This was a superb win on the night, by the 53 years old Steve Harris, the oldest rider in the field, who had to work really hard in all his five races.
Pollitt reeled off three wins, after two early defeats, to finish on 18 points, and force a run off for 2nd place, with Mohammadi.
The Bury rider led for two laps, before a superb switch by Pollitt saw him sweep past on the back straight, to take the race win and second place on the night.
