A road closure is in place
A ROAD has been close due to "severe flooding", says the council.
Tanners Lane, Golborne, has been closed, Wigan Council confirmed.
Shortly before 1pm, Wigan Council said: "Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of flooding across the borough.
"Tanners Lane, Golborne, is now closed due to severe flooding.
"Please use alternative routes and take care when out and about."
Tanners Lane is closed both ways closed due to flooding between Nook Lane and the library.
