TYLDESLEY Brass Band will perform a Remembrance Day concert in Atherton this weekend for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
The band have been pleasing crowds for more than 140 years and will deliver some historic, war-time music to attendees at Atherton Baptist Church on Saturday, November 13, with musical director Rob Taylor creating an appropriate musical programme for the night.
Deacon Gordon Cook explained that the Church was unable to host the annual event last year due to the pandemic, but is excited for the nights return which have been "highly successful in the past".
After a difficult period during the pandemic, the event is hoped to bring the community together once again and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the World Wars and other conflicts.
The event begins at 7:30pm and will cost guests £7, which will also go towards raising funds for the Church.
Residents wishing to attend can contact Gordon Cooke on 01942 883774 or pay on the door.
