A TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital with serious injuries yesterday, after being hit by a lorry in Atherton.
At around 2.40pm on Wednesday, January 5, police were called to reports of a collision between a man and a lorry on Mealhouse Lane, Atherton.
Emergency services attended and the 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
Traffic diversions were in put in place as officers dealt with the incident but the road was re-opened a short time afterwards.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the details of the collision, stating that no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information, CCTV or Dash-cam footage should contact the Road Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident number 1518 of 5/1/2022.
