MP Chris Green has mocked Russian leader Vladimir Putin after he was placed on a list of British politicians sanctioned by the Kremlin.
The Russian president today, April 27, slapped sanctions on 287 British politicians in a tit-for-tat punishment over the UK taking action against hundreds of Russian politicians in March.
Moscow's foreign ministry announced it had banned "287 members of the House of Commons" from entering Russia, who they said had been "most active" in supporting sanctions against the Kremlin since the invasion of Ukraine.
It accused them of whipping up "Russophobic hysteria".
However, many on the list were no longer actually sitting MPs, while some had been listed twice.
Many Mps have reacted mockingly to the move, calling their sanctioning a "badge of honour".
Bolton West & Atherton representgative Chris Green is among those who have been listed.
Mr Green took to his Facebook page to mock the Rissian president in response.
He posted: "I see President Putin has taken time out of his busy schedule from bombing hospitals and invading innocent countries to sanction me and other MPs who have been most robust in challenging his illegal war."
