A SINGER-SONGWRITER has released her first original single as she looks to build on her years of live performances.
Playing in bars and labour clubs in Leigh from the age of 15, Zoe Unsworth has been a regular feature on the local music scene.
Now 23, she has made a career out of her love for singing and has a packed schedule playing at bars and functions across the North West.
While she has written songs in the past, 'Me, Myself & I' is the first to be released on streaming services and offers a new avenue for Zoe to create her own music and test this on crowds.
Written about "relationships and growing up", the song is planned to be the first of a stream of releases that the former Bedford High student has been working on.
Zoe, who performs around three or four times a week, said: "I usually sing covers with a full band when I'm playing live, so this song is to see how well it gets received so I can hopefully start singing more originals.
"I've got a lot more to come and have written a full album worth of songs, so I'm just working on how best to release these and incorporate them into my gigs."
Playing live for almost a decade, Zoe said one of the best things about performing is "all of the different people" she has met and collaborated with along the way.
This includes members of her current band who have assisted with the backing music for 'Me, Myself & I', with one of these having a successful career playing in George Michael's live band.
Also offering one-to-one vocal coaching sessions to young and budding singers, Zoe said that releasing more of her own music is an exciting prospect and one she will be following up with in the coming months.
'Me, Myself, & I' can be found on all streaming services now.
