A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital over the weekend after a collision with a car in Leigh.
It is reported that the man collided with a car after driving his motorbike down Chapel Street, at around 9.40am on Saturday, September 24.
As the emergency services arrived at the scene, the rider of the motorbike was quickly taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.
Road closures were put in place in both directions on Chapel Street, between Lingard Street and Mill Street, causing traffic delays.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "
"We were called at 9.40am on Saturday, September 24, to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Chapel Street, Leigh.
"The rider of the bike – a teenage man – was taken to hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
"The driver of the car remained at the scene.
"Enquiries continue."
