TWO vehicles including a police car crashed into the front wall of a house yesterday evening.
At around 7pm on Tuesday, October 4, it was reported that a police vehicle and a white Mercedes collided into the wall of a property on Manchester Road, Leigh.
Police were said to be responding to an emergency situation and were travelling with blue lights and sirens.
The accident occurred as the police vehicle attempted to turn right into Park Lane, with the vehicle believed to be overtaking the Mercedes.
The impact of the collision caused damage to both vehicles and to the front wall of the house, although the cars did not hit the property itself.
Residents at the scene said that the occupants of both vehicles were noticeably shaken.
However, no serious injuries were reported and the occupants were not taken to hospital.
