A ROAD has been closed both ways today (Tuesday) due to flooding.
Slag Lane in Lowton was closed both ways, with heavy traffic having been in the area.
THis is due to flooding between Garton Drive, Lowton and Plank Lane Bridge, Leigh).

In a statement this morning Wigan Council said: "Please be aware, the road to the Slag Lane Recycling Centre from the canal bridge is flooded.
"The Centre is open and is accessible from the Lowton End."
Live traffic tracker Inrix said that the road is now "unpassable", with queueing traffic in the area.
