A BAR that has been years in the making is finally ready to open after a "phenomenal" soft launch with friends and family.
Named after the former off-licence that used to occupy the property, 'Cellar Five' officially opens its doors today (Monday, March 20) as a new wine and cocktail bar on Elliot Street in Tyldesley.
After months of development to get the business ready for opening, Cellar Five fulfills a pre-pandemic dream for the Crawshaw family, who also own the locksmith and window glazing business 'DC Glass & Lock'.

Mum Joanne said: "We moved to Tyldesley 18 years ago and there have always been quite a few pubs on the high street, but not many up-market bars so people would often travel out of town to go for a drink.
"But there have been a few businesses that have filled this gap over the last few years, and we decided we wanted to do something like this a few years ago."
Following pandemic-caused delays and lots of hard work behind the scenes, 'Cellar Five' opened to friends, family, and those who helped to develop the bar on Sunday, March 19.
Joanne's sons, Sam, Max, and Leo have all signed up to work behind the bar, and despite initial apprehension about how many people would turn up, the mum-of-three said that the soft launch was "phenomenal".
Joanne added: "It was just amazing to see the amount of people who were there and hearing their feedback, especially on Mother's Day with Manchester United playing!
"With Cellar Five, we want to offer people a high-end bar that replicates somewhere you would find in a city centre, but keeping it local.
"There are some really nice places on the high street now, like Hop and Hazlewood and Roots & Chalice, so hopefully people can come in for a drink and make a night of it by visiting other places too."
