THERE has been four miles of traffic and a lane closure in place on the M6 following a crash involving three HGVs today, Monday.
There were long delays with congestion up to junction 22 following an incident on the M6 northbound before junction 24 (Ashton-in-Makerfield).
Reovery work has taken place and lanes have been reopened.
All lanes are now open on the #M6 northbound between J23 (#A508) and J24 (#A58)#StHelens

As of around 3pm, live traffic tracker Inrix stated: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M6 Northbound before J24 A58 Liverpool Road (Ashton In Makerfield).
"All lanes have been re-opened".
