HERE is another great picture which was taken in 1930s Astley that we have brought out from the local archives.
The photograph shows Astley Walking Day, from the Unitarian Chapel.
It was taken in the early 1930s, according to archive records.
Can you identify anyone in the photograph?
- Do you have old pictures taken in Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley, Astley, Mosley Common, Lowton, Golborne, Glazebury, Hindley, Hindley Green or nearby that would be suitable for this page?
They can consist of anything to do with local history, whether it's of an old school class, a group, a sports team, a public place, a business.
If you have any pictures you'd like to share, please email a copy over to newsdesk@leighjournal.co.uk and include information of what it shows.
It could feature in a future edition of the Journal.
You can also send pictures from the past that you want answers on, which Journal readers may be able to help with.
