A FORMER insurance consultant has been crafting a "tight-knit community" of clients after launching a "one man band" PT practice in Leigh.
With years spent working in the corporate industry, Dan Shuttleworth made the "risky" decision to change careers eight years ago as he followed his passion to retrain as a personal trainer.
After helping countless clients towards their goals and beginning to start a young family, he felt that the time was right to start his own venture last year - with 'DaSh Fitness' launching out of a unit in Leigh Spinners Mill.

Describing 'DaSh Fitness' as a "one-man band", the Leigh dad-of-two is the manager, advertiser, and personal trainer at the Spinners Mill gym, which enables him to offer a more private setting for one-to-one sessions, fitness classes, and workout plans.
Away from the hustle and bustle of many gyms, the relaxed environment allows many clients to feel more comfortable working toward their fitness goals, while also helping to create a "tight knit community" between Dan and the people that he trains.
With a wealth of experience in fitness, corporate work, and family life, this is something that Dan particularly wants to foster.
Dan, 36, said: "There are a lot of personal trainers and gyms in the local area, so it can be a very competitive market.
"But I like to think that I offer something different, as I usually cater to clients from the ages of 30 plus, who enjoy the private setting at the gym. It's not about who has the biggest biceps but who can improve themselves and gain more confidence.
"I've got a lot of life skills too, so I can connect with my clients on a personal level and it feels like we've got a real tight-knit community at the gym with many returning faces."
