POLICE have branded vandalism caused to wreaths laid at Golborne Cenotaph as "despicable".
Wreaths at the Legh Street memorial were found destroyed by officers on patrol.
Officers added they are aware of anti-social in the area and urged anyone to report issues to them.

In a statement on Monday, Greater Manchester Police said: "Whilst out on patrol PC Eccles and PCSO Dillon have found that the wreaths laid at the cenotaph on Legh Street, Golborne have been destroyed.
"The damage caused to the wreaths is completely unacceptable, disrespectful and diabolical behaviour."
It added: "We are aware that there have been Anti-Social Behaviour happening at the park and on the cenotaph which is covered during our tour of duties. Parents, are you aware of where your children are and what they are doing whilst out and about?
"If anyone has any information with regards to this damage please can you contact the team via 0161 856 7225. We would also urge people to continue to report any anti-social behaviour happening via 101, live chat or 999 in an emergency."
