LONG delays have been reported on the M62 after a van crashed into the metal barrier this morning.
Delays and stop-start traffic has been reported for eight miles on Monday, September 4, with two lanes initially closed due to recovery work and the accident.
The collision occurred on the M62 Westbound between J12 at Eccles Interchange and J11 at Birchwood Way.
Congestion has been reported to J17 at Prestwich on the M60 anticlockwise, and back along the M61 eastbound to J4 at Farnworth.
There have also been delays on Leigh Road towards J13 from Astley.
Lane one (of four) remains shut, while lane two is back open.
