A JOURNAL reader sent in this wonderful photograph featuring a ‘Forces Welcome Home’ party in 1945 at the close of the Second World War.
Jack Lee emailed in the picture, which he says was taken at Marsland Green Sunday Schoo. He added it features his dad, Jack Lee Snr, who served during the war with the 8th Army in North Africa.
Jack Lee Jnr said: “I hope you may be interested in publishing this photo of ‘Forces welcome home party’ held at Marsland Green Sunday School in 1945.
“My dad, Jack Lee snr is on having served with the 8th Army in North Africa.”
