FOLLOWING on with the VE Day theme here is a wonderful reader picture that was shared with us .
Last week in our Looking Back page, we featured a photograph which had been taken at a VE Day on Linden Avenue, in Atherton.
Journal reader Philip Warburton shared this picture on the Journal's Facebook page, which he said was taken on VE Day in Tyldesley.
VE (Victory in Europe Day) is the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War Two of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, May, 8,1945.
