FOUR men brandishing weapons stole "high-value items" during a terrifying armed robbery in broad daylight.

Police were called to reports of a robbery on Bradshawgate, Leigh shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday, February 3.

Police said no injuries have been reported, but several high-value items were stolen and a "significant amount of criminal damage" was inflicted on the premises.

Initial inquiries have suggested that a group of four men entered the premises brandishing weapons, before leaving in a black Audi.

Officers are now appealing to the public for further information. Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area in the lead-up to, during, or after the incident who could help identify those responsible.
