A CLOSURE is in place after a crash on the M6 today, Wednesday.
Traffic is being held after a lane has been closed on the M6 northbound, from junction 22 to junction 23, at Haydock Island.
Live traffic tracker INRIX stated as of 12.30pm: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J22 A49 Winwick Link Road (Newton Le Willows) to J23 A580 East Lancashire Road (Haydock).
"All traffic was temporarily held, causing delays. Lane one (of three) remains closed."
