A YOUNG baker has the ongoing support of Leythers to thank for the success of his shop in Leigh town centre.
As previously reported by the Journal, Morgan Mole launched 'That Secret Ingredient' along Charles Street, just off Bradshawgate, in September 2023.
Complete with an in-house bakery, the cafe's launch came more than three years after the 25-year-old started the bakery business out of an industrial unit at Leigh Business Park, and so far it seems as though the investment in his hometown has paid off.

Speaking about his first six months in the town centre, Morgan, a former pupil at Bedford High, said: "Things have been going really well, we had a pretty quiet January but that came after a mental Christmas when we were so busy.
"I wanted the shop to be a relaxing place where people can come and enjoy a drink and some cakes, and people seem to be enjoying it.
"We bake everything fresh in-house so we have had really good feedback, especially for our brownies, rocky road, and scones. We started doing afternoon tea recently too and that has had the biggest reaction we have had so far."
Growing up in Leigh, Morgan is passionate about bringing his business to the town centre, offering something different, and helping to boost the profile of the town.
He hopes that Leigh's incoming regeneration investment can help to give the town a further boost as he expressed his gratitude to the Leythers who have continued to support his business since its launch.
Morgan added: "I have had such lovely feedback since opening the shop and the Journal article.
"I do feel the sense that people want to come in, shop local, and support the business.
"And I'm still getting people who are only just finding out about us so hopefully we can keep reaching more and more customers."
In addition to the revolving fresh menu at That Secret Ingredient, Morgan also offers one-to-one baking classes as well as infrequent group classes for kids at the Charles Street cafe.
