New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of nearby establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses after an inspection has assessed how well they comply with food safety laws.
The rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority.
The Journal often reports on food hygiene reports across the borough so customers are confident in the businesses they are using, from the low scoring to high scoring venues.
These venues below have been rated between three and five – five being the highest possible rating.
The list:
• Rated 5: Harvester Atherleigh at Parsonage Way, Leigh; rated on March 7
