POLICE have arrested and charged a man they allege tried to sell stolen alcohol to officers.
Greater Manchester Police said that on Thursday evening, April 18, officers from the Leigh Neighbourhood Team were conducting a plain clothes operation in and around Leigh Town Centre.
Officers were allegedly approached by a man who tried to sell them several bottles of alcohol.

Police say the suspect had stolen the booze from a nearby Tesco.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged with theft.
He was remanded in police custody to attend court the following day.
