A HOUSEBUILDER has donated a cash prize to a local scouts group as part of an effort to give back to the community following a large development.

With Taylor Wimpey starting work on the 154 home development at Rothwells Farm, Golborne, in 2017, the first sale was completed in March 2018.

Last year, Taylor Wimpey announced that 85 percent of the large development had sold, with a mixture of three and four bedroom houses located off Lowton Road.

Some houses are still available on the site and the housebuilder has donated £250 to 1st Golborne St Thomas Scouts as a way to give back to the community.

The housebuilder’s donation has contributed towards replacing the chain link fencing around the scouts’ headquarters in Golborne to improve the security of the building and protect the equipment inside.

We are delighted to support 1st Golborne St Thomas Scouts and help to fund the replacement of the headquarters’ fencing and security.”
