A HEARTBROKEN family has planned a special event in memory of a beloved mum who would do “anything for anyone”.
Following the tragic loss of Zara Greenhalgh last year, her family, friends, and the wider community have come together to organise a fundraising event on Saturday, June 22.
Taking place at the Comfortable Gill in Glazebury, the event will include live singers performing throughout the day, a makers market, face painting activities, a tombola and raffle with prizes donated from local businesses, as well as a barbeque and refreshments.

Passing away at just 36, Zara’s death devastated her family and friends and her sister Lauren hopes the event will bring together all of those who remember and loved the mum-of-one, who grew up in Atherton and a former pupil of Hesketh Fletcher high school.
Speaking about her late sister, Lauren said: “Zara was such a funny person and always had a cheesy grin on her face.
“She loved spending time with her family and she would always make time for others and would do anything for anyone.
“She was just a lovely genuine person and was always there for you.”
Extremely grateful for all the support and raffle prizes the family has received so far, Lauren said that the event will also be raising money for AIM North West, a charity the family also fundraised for at the time of the funeral.
