A HUGE mural has been completed in Atherton to celebrate the achievements of UFC champion Tom Aspinall.
In November, it took the Atherton fighter just 69 seconds to beat Sergei Pavlovich and become the interim UFC heavyweight world champion.
Despite only getting the call-up for the fight after an injury to defending champion Jon Jones, Aspinall's win made him just the third British world champion in the history of UFC.
The 31-year-old was described as another of our "local sporting heroes" after his win, and he will fight Curtis Blaydes in Manchester next month in a rematch of a fight that saw Aspinall suffer a serious knee injury after 15 seconds.
With aspirations to fight the reigning champion Jon Jones, Aspinall's record in the UFC is 14 wins and three losses.

Since Aspinall's incredible win in November, Atherton residents had been pushing for a mural to emulate the work created for Olympian and European Championship gold medallist Keely Hodgkinson.
Independent Network councillors in Atherton helped to bring the idea to fruition, with help from Wigan Council's 'Brighter Borough' funding scheme.
Located on Bullough Street in Atherton town centre, the artwork has been created by Manchester-based street artist 'Kelzo' - who created the Keely mural and Alfred Wilkinson mural in Leigh - and it similarly contains historical references to the town's history and heritage.
Independent Network Councillor for Atherton North, Stuart Gerrard, said: "Tom’s journey and triumph could and should inspire youngsters, by showcasing the importance of hard work, discipline, and perseverance in achieving goals.
"His commitment to training, resilience in the face of challenges, and focus on family values can serve as a motivating example for young aspiring athletes.
"As we have celebrated Keely, whose dedication and professionalism motivated youngsters, it’s only right that Tom has a similar accolade with his own mural celebrating his achievements."
