A MAN from Wigan was arrested after police were called to a street after the occupant of a property had reportedly been threatened.
Officers rushed to Garswood Road, in Garswood, on Friday evening, June 21, shortly before 8pm.
Police said they received reports of threats being made towards the occupant of a property.
A police spokesman said that after making inquiries, officers detained a man in the car park of the Turpin View restaurant.
A 23-year-old man, from Standish, Wigan, was arrested on suspicion of making threats to commit criminal damage.
He has since been released on bail as the investigation continues, police said.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We have arrested a man following an incident in Ashton-in-Makerfield on Friday, June 21.
"At around 7.50pm, officers were called to Garswood Road to reports of threats being made towards the occupant of a property.
"Following inquiries, a man was detained in the car park of Turpin View restaurant.
"A 23-year-old man from Standish was arrested on suspicion of threats to commit criminal damage.
"He has been conditionally bailed pending further inquiries."
