RESIDENTS may have the chance to see the famous Red Arrows fly over the borough this weekend.

People from all across the north west travel to the Southport Air Show each year, although last year's performance was cancelled due to wet weather.

With the Red Arrows set to return to Southport this weekend, organisers have insisted that improvements have been made, with the famous planes set to fly to the coast on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14.

With a full schedule of events at Southport Air Show, people are always curious about the Red Arrows route on their way to the coast.

Although the flight paths can be subject to change, the Red Arrows scheduled routes have been reported as they fly to the Southport Air Show and back to the RAF Base - and are scheduled to fly over Golborne and Lowton on Saturday and Sunday.
