A DISTRAUGHT mum is set to fly out to Majorca after her son "cut off communications" with her.
Last month, Ben Ross, from Golborne, moved to Palma City after finding work at an energy company while taking a break from studying as a barrister.
After going to the beach for a swim, Ben reported that his bag - containing his phone, passport, wallet, and keys to his apartment - had been stolen.

After reporting this incident with the police, the 26-year-old is said to have had a confrontation with his flatmates as he turned up late at night without a key.
As Ben had also been struggling to secure funds through his bank, the series of events is said to have had a spiralling impact on his mental health.
After sending a "peculiar email" to his worried mum on July 10, confirming that his mental state was not in a good place, he then "cut off communications with her completely" and his family haven't heard from him since.
As his family has not heard from Ben for more than a week, and his whereabouts remain "unclear", a Go Fund Me page has been launched so that his desperate mum can fly out to Majorca and search for her son.
So far, the Go Fund Me page has raised more than £1,500 which will be used to fund flight, hotel and food costs as Felix sets out to appeal for sightings of her missing son.
Felix said: “Like any mother, no matter what age your children are, they are still your children.
"I just need to know my son is safe and well. The last few days have been torture.
"Please, if anyone has seen Ben, even if it’s just for a second, let the authorities know. We need to find him”.
The British Foreign Office has confirmed it is supporting the family in their search for Ben, and any funds not used from the Go Fund Me will be directed to the mental health charity Andy's Man Club.
