A BELOVED adult day care centre is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year.
Launching on Queen Street in Golborne in 2014, Bridgewater Day Care was established in response to a growing need for day care services for older people in the local area.
The purpose of the service is to provide a positive and stimulating environment for adults or those living with dementia, and it has become a safe and secure 'home away from home' for many clients.
Aiming to reduce social isolation and promote independence of those who use our service, an incredible 340 clients have walked through the centre doors over the past decade, while care staff and support workers have provided over a quarter of a million care hours during this time.

Reflecting on the decade of care, a spokesperson for Bridgewater said: "From our humble beginnings supporting just a handful of clients we have grown into an invaluable hub that serves many families in the local area, and across the region.
"Our commitment to high-quality care has remained at the forefront of our service, and it is this dedication that has driven our success over the past decade."
To mark the decade in operation, guests are invited to celebrate with a 10 year anniversary party on Wednesday, August 29, where visitors can drop in and out at any point through the day.
