A TYLDESLEY mum-of-two was named the 'Best Florist' in Greater Manchester after almost four decades in the industry.
Working in the floral industry since the age of 13, Adele Lythgoe spent time at various florists before launching 'Passion Flower Florist' on Sale Lane in Tyldesley twenty years ago.
Priding herself on providing the highest quality flowers for all occasions, Adele was anonymously nominated at the English Business Awards, and to her shock, took home the award for 'Best Florist' at the event in Manchester on Wednesday, July 17.

Speaking about the award win, Adele, from Tyldesley, said: "I've never really looked at entering business awards before, so to be nominated was a real shock.
"I still don't know who nominated me but I'm so grateful as we had so many people voting for me and so many lovely comments.
"This year is twenty years since I opened the shop so the award is a really nice way to mark this."
With dozens of people congratulating Adele on her achievement, the mum-of-two said she feels "very lucky" to be there for her customers "through the good times and the bad times".
Adele, 52, added: "It is really lovely to be able to go through these life events with people, through the good times and the bad times, and I feel very lucky that people continue to come back and choose me.
"It's come full circle for a lot of my customers now as I have helped them celebrate birthdays and weddings, and now they're buying gifts for their children or their grown-up children are coming in."
And while there have been some difficulties that Adele has had to adapt to, such as covid closures, rising bills, and juggling work and family life, she said that business is "busier than ever" and remains committed to providing the highest quality service to her loyal customers.
Following the regional award win, Adele and Passion Flower Florist will now go forward to the national English Business Awards.
