TWO jam-packed events are set to take place in Leigh this weekend.
On Saturday, July 27, the fourth Leigh Pride will take place at Pennington Hall Park with a varied schedule of live entertainment, makers markets, arts and crafts, and food and drink options.
Organised by the 'Pride in Leigh' team, the event celebrates people from the LGBTQ+ community and aims to bring an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere into Pennington Hall Park.
Starting from 12pm, organisers hope to emulate last year's success where thousands of people came out to support the festival.

Another community event taking place over the weekend is the Leigh Fire Station Open Day.
Taking place at the St Helens Road station on Sunday, July 28, the family-friendly event aims to provide something for all ages, including fire engine tours, live music, games, and food and drinks.
The open days have been a popular event over the years, and there will also be the opportunity to meet our local fire firefighters and learn about fire safety.
The open day will take place from 10am to 4pm.
