KEELY Hodgkinson looked to be in a league of her own as she won the third semi final in the women’s 800m in Paris 2024.

The Atherton ace led from the front from the point the athletes stepped away from their lanes and she was in total control en route to going through to the medal-decider in the fastest time from the three semi-finals.

She steadily increased the tempo to spread the field from 300 metres out and stepped on the gas entering the finishing straight to leave her rivals battling for second in her scorch marks.

The 22-year-old Leigh Harrier clocked 1:56.86 and after crossing the line gave herself a nod of acknowledgement to say ‘job done’.

She will go into Monday night’s final as the hot favourite. The gun is scheduled to go off to signal the start of the race at 8.45pm in the Stade de France.
