LEIGH Leopards coach Adrian Lam credited his side's perseverance despite producing a "frustrating" performance in their 32-12 victory over London Broncos.

The Leopards were drawing 12-12 with Super League's bottom club before they pulled away in the last quarter of the contest to boost their play-off push.

Lam was happy his team got the job done ahead of their remaining fixtures against Warrington, Castleford, Hull KR and St Helens that will decide their fate.

Lam said: "In the end it was very good. It was a frustrating performance to be honest. We got the points.

"They play good rugby London and it's no fluke they were in the game until the end.

"I was a bit nervous and stressed at 12-12 but that's part of the game. We had determination and resilience, in the end we ran away with it which is the DNA of this club.

"I'm pleased we have the two points and we stay in the hunt."

Leigh struggled to pull away despite scoring tries due to Zak Hardaker's missed conversion attempts.

Hardaker eventually managed to hit the target in the second half but coach Lam admitted he needs to do better.

"It's not good because you need to kick them goals when you come down here against teams like London," he added.

"We had errors and kept them in the game."

London boss Mike Eccles lauded his side's forward pack despite their defeat, which saw Josh Rourke score his eighth try in eight games.

He said: "We got what we deserved in the end but our pack absolutely outstanding.

"It was phenomenal today and I don't think anybody wins the physical battle against Leigh.

"Rhys Kennedy was phenomenal."
