A MUM who was made redundant during the pandemic has thrived with a business where she lights up special occasions.
Previously working in packaging sales, Natalia Carta bravely launched a new events business after being made redundant in 2020.
The idea for a new business venture came when Natalia was planning her daughter's 18th birthday party but struggled to get the decorations that she envisioned, and so 'Neon Nights' was launched as a "one stop shop" to help people celebrate their special occasions in style.

With Neon Nights running as a one-woman business, Natalia sources a wide range of decorations to help clients celebrate weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and engagement parties.
Her collection of decorations include LED lights and furniture, light-up numbers and letters, party tents and backdrops.
With Natalia adding luxury balloons to her Neon Nights collection last year, the mum moved her business to a unit in Leigh Spinners Mill this summer in order to store her growing collection.
Natalia, from Leigh, said: "I saw a gap in the market for a luxury events business when I was planning my daughters birthday party, because I couldn't find anywhere that did all the decorations that I wanted locally.
"Business has been really good since it launched and there has been lots of positive feedback from clients, which feels really nice because we are helping people celebrate their special occasions.
"I try to be as flexible as possible and cover the whole of the North West, so it can be a bit like one person doing 40 people's jobs, but I love to provide the best quality decorations for people.
"I added the balloons last year which has really helped to grow the business as we are now a one-stop shop for events and decorations."
