A MAN has been arrested after being caught with a high-quantity of cash and suspected drugs.

Greater Manchester Police announced that a man was arrested on Tuesday, October 1, after officers spotted an "exchange" between two individuals on Findlay Street in Leigh.

Officers from the Westleigh Neighbourhood team subsequently attended the area and detained a male for a search, under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Following the search, police reported that the suspect was in possession of numerous wraps of suspected Class A substances and more than £500 in cash.

The man was then arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Garden electrical items are also reported to have been stolen from the burglary, which is reported to have taken place between Saturday, September 21 and Saturday, September 28.
